We are recruiting an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle Electrician to join our team at Holt Recruitment Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with HGV and PSV vehicles and their associated electrical systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV), Public Service Vehicles (PSV), and other equipment operating on 24V electrical systems.

Responsibilities:

  • To diagnose and repair electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • To install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, circuits, and systems in HGVs, PSVs, and other vehicles.
  • To perform testing and troubleshooting of 24V electronic systems, including battery systems, alternators, and starters.
  • To ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant safety standards.
  • To collaborate with mechanical teams to ensure efficient vehicle maintenance.
  • To keep accurate records of repairs and installations.

Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of 24V electrical systems.
  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive electrical systems.
  • A full, clean driving license is desirable but not essential.
