Job Overview


We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Retail Assistant to join our team at our Gower Street shop in Wigan. As a Retail Assistant, you will play a key role in providing excellent customer service, handling stock, and working collaboratively with your team to maintain a safe, clean, and tidy shop environment.



About the Role


This part-time position requires a minimum of 16 hours worked over 4 days from 7 each week, including weekends. You will be expected to work a variety of shifts, including early starts, and be available to cover for colleagues when needed.

Key Responsibilities


As a Retail Assistant, you will:



  • Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
  • Help customers find the items they are looking for
  • Give a fast and friendly service at the tills, always offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
  • Handle stock with care whilst working deliveries, quickly placing products into our freezers and onto our shelves ready for our customers to buy
  • Work with the rest of your team to complete the daily and weekly routines that keep our shops safe, clean, and tidy
