Removals Supervisor

At Johnsons 1871 Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Removals Supervisor to join our team. As a Removals Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and managing removals teams, ensuring that all removals are completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage removals teams to ensure that all removals are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Conduct risk assessments and health and safety checks to ensure that all removals are carried out safely.
- Manage and maintain removals equipment and vehicles to ensure that they are in good working order.
- Develop and implement removals procedures to ensure that all removals are carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to removals team members to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to carry out removals safely and effectively.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience of supervising teams.
- Experience of removals.
- Team leadership (NVQ or equivalent).
Preferred Skills:
- Leadership skills.
- Punctual.
- Hardworking.
- Well-groomed.
- Physically fit.
- A polite, friendly manner and good communication skills.
- A careful and methodical approach to work.
- The ability to work out the most effective way to load items.
- An honest and responsible attitude to other people's property.
Additional Notes:
Long-distance moves may involve nights away from home, which usually means sleeping in the vehicle. Most vehicles now have sleeper cabs and cooking facilities. Operatives spend a lot of time in the cab of the removal vehicle, travelling to and from base and between loading and unloading points.
