Design & Build Engineer

Overview

Protecnium, an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services, is seeking a highly skilled Design & Build Engineer to join our team for an airport construction project. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

About You

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering.
  • With a minimum of 3 years of experience in building and heavy civil construction projects, you possess a deep understanding of design principles and construction methodologies.
  • Proficiency in English (C1 level) and legal authorization to work in the UK are essential for this role.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D software are required for efficient design solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design Development: Develop and oversee detailed designs for building and civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
  2. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to establish design parameters, timelines, and construction methodologies.
  3. Technical Expertise: Perform structural calculations, materials selection, and feasibility studies to support efficient and cost-effective design solutions.
  4. Site Supervision: Supervise on-site construction activities to ensure alignment with design specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  5. Issue Resolution: Review and modify design documents based on field observations and construction progress, providing technical support to resolve issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in building and heavy civil construction projects.

  • A competitive estimated salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
