Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years professional to join our team as a Room Leader at Bright Horizons Hinxton Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage a team of Early Years professionals to deliver high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.
  2. Develop and implement engaging learning programs that meet the individual needs of each child, ensuring a stimulating and inclusive environment.
  3. Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care and education.
  4. Conduct regular observations and assessments to monitor child development and progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing targeted interventions.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including safeguarding, health and safety, and child protection policies.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and involving them in decision-making processes.

Requirements

  1. Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential).
  2. Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator.
  3. Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant legislation.
  4. Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and health and safety policies.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents.
