Role Overview

A forward-thinking company based in Leeds is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join their finance team at an exciting time of growth. This role will suit an individual with strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach.

The company has grown organically since its establishment, with the creation of several subsidiaries significantly accelerating this growth. As a result, they are now looking for a highly skilled Financial Reporting Manager to support the consolidation of their entities, play a key role in day-to-day cash management, and contribute to long-term strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce consolidated monthly management information to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare financial information for the Group Board pack, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide timely and accurate monthly information to shareholders, maintaining transparency and trust.
  • Consolidate, review, and challenge the group's long-term cash forecast, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business and senior finance personnel to understand cash forecast movements.
  • Assist with day-to-day cash management, producing the group's short-term cash forecast to ensure liquidity.
  • Manage the statutory accounts and corporation tax returns process across the group, collaborating with the Financial Controller & Finance Manager.
  • E nsure adherence to accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements, maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and bankers to address any concerns or queries.
  • Oversee the execution of tax strategy and tax compliance activities, minimizing risk.
  • Manage the outsourced monthly payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to Management to inform decision-making, driving business growth.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, preferably with a Top 10 firm background and experience in industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and tax laws.
