Principal Systems Verification Engineer
At Optos, we're looking for an exceptional Principal Systems Verification Engineer to join our Systems Delivery Team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for verifying the functionality of our cutting-edge medical devices, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced test professional with a strong background in medical devices, automotive, or defence/aerospace. Your expertise will be crucial in developing and maintaining our continuous systems test suites, preparing verification reports, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain continuous systems test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests
- Prepare verification reports and associated documents to meet regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure testing best practices are applied and adopted
- Support the production unit in setting up and executing automation infrastructure
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Evaluate systems behavior by executing automation test suites and image characteristics analysis

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in programming, preferably in Python or other languages like C/C++, C#, Java, etc.
- Experience using and developing DevOps tools and techniques
- Familiar with virtual machine management tools, preferably VMWare
- Hands-on experience with TDD/BDD based approaches, preferably Behave
- Experience in CI/CD operation and management, e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, or other
- Hands-on experience using source control tools, e.g., Git
- Experience with integration of one or more of Electronic/Optical/Mechanical Systems/Sub-systems
- Leadership experience or natural next step
