Job Title: Ophthalmic Photographer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ophthalmic Photographer to join our team at Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a comprehensive imaging and photography service to patients of all ages suffering from diseases of the eye and visual system.

The post holder will work closely with ophthalmic clinicians to provide diagnostic imaging and clinical investigation services, including providing reports and baseline evaluations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality imaging and photography services to patients
  • Working with ophthalmic clinicians to provide diagnostic imaging and clinical investigation services
  • Providing reports and baseline evaluations to ophthalmic clinicians
  • Traveling to community hospitals within the county to provide imaging services
  • Training and supervising other healthcare professionals and junior staff

Requirements:

  • A Level Qualifications or equivalent
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Experience working within an eye care or healthcare setting
  • Knowledge of ophthalmic photographic equipment
  • Some knowledge of ophthalmic photography equipment or basic knowledge of the anatomy of the eye
  • Knowledge of multiple operating systems, including handling and archive systems for sensitive confidential images

This is a permanent position, 37.5 hours per week, worked over 4 long days, Monday to Saturday. A current full, clean driving licence and access to a car are required.
