We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Support Coordinator to join our team in Essex. In this critical role, you will provide vital support and guidance to individuals with mental health needs, helping them navigate the complexities of the system and achieve independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver personalized support plans, addressing the unique needs of each customer.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on tenancy matters, ensuring customers understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate access to Welfare Benefits and grant schemes, ensuring customers receive the support they deserve.
  • Actively participate in the service's referral process, collaborating with other agencies to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Support customers at drop-in sessions, promoting engagement with additional support services addressing mental health, substance misuse, or other health issues.
  • Conduct regular reviews of customer support plans, adapting approaches as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in supporting customers with mental health needs and a solid understanding of floating support principles.
  • Familiarity with housing support requirements and the benefits of a flexible, outcome-focused, and personalized support service.
  • Awareness of health and safety issues, safeguarding vulnerable adults and children policies, protocols, and best practices.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing legislation.
  • Dedication to equality and diversity, with a genuine desire to empower people with support needs to connect with their community.
  • Comprehensive IT skills and proficiency in using packages like Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Essential: Full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • A minimum of 12 months' experience in a front-line social care role within the last three years.

The estimated salary for this role is £30,250 per annum, based on experience.
