About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Breedon Group plc. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining electrical systems at our plants in Wrexham and Liverpool.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical systems for our plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve electrical defects and breakdowns.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and safety of our electrical systems.
  • Work closely with other team members and contractors to plan and implement plant improvements.

Requirements
  • Qualification or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience of heavy industrial environments.
  • PLC and VSD experience (desirable).
  • Good working knowledge of electrical LV isolation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring regulation BS7671 Certification.
  • Good understanding of electrical maintenance methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience of medium/high voltage networks, including switching methods.
  • A working knowledge of BS7671 inspection and testing - qualifications in this area would be desirable.
  • A sound working knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment regulations.
  • Computer literate.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
