**About the Role:** We are seeking a skilled Concrete Specification Specialist to join our Technical Services & Consulting department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance in all concrete works.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in concrete specification, compliance assessment, and quality control. You will be responsible for evaluating contractor proposals, monitoring compliance, and performing quality control checks in line with technical specifications.

In this role, you will also be responsible for:

  • Technical Review: Assess and set baselines for reinforced concrete specifications
  • Suitability & Sensitivity Testing: Validate suitability tests and assess concrete mix sensitivity to batch variations
  • Quality Control: Conduct periodic reviews on conformity controls and validate Quality Assurance plans

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field
  • Proven experience in concrete specification, compliance assessment, and quality control
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensuring quality and compliance
  • Demonstrable experience in the design and construction of Quality Grade 1 Class A Reinforced Concrete Structures
  • Experience working in heavy concrete structures, preferably with experience working in the specialist field of concrete materials (mix development, defect remediation, site construction, etc.) and specification writing

We offer a competitive salary of £**£65,000 - £80,000 per annum**, plus a range of benefits including:
