Job Introduction

A Wilderness Way Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Officer to join our team.

Salary: £32,000 - £37,000 per annum

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with GDPR legislation, including handling Subject Access Requests, improving data policies, and supporting teams to ensure adherence.

We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement Monday to Friday, 9-5, with an annual leave allowance of 33 days, plus additional benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Audit and create inventories of information within the organisation
  2. Fulfill the Data Protection Officer role

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or possess suitable experience
  • Knowledge of Information Governance principles, including the Data Protection Act 2018/General Data Protection Regulations
  • Previous risk management experience in a data environment
  • Experience working with children's data or social care data
  • Full UK manual driving license with access to a vehicle for site visits
