About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at AFR Consulting. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality financial reporting and analysis to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and develop management reporting packs to provide visibility for senior management and aid in decision-making.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, variance and trend analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are accurate and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Post key journals, including wages, accrued and deferred income, and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports with comparison to forecast.
  • Provide support to the finance transactional team, including covering annual leave.
  • Assist with external year-end audit and statutory accounts.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Improve processes and key controls to drive efficiencies.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
Requirements
  • Preferably studying towards CIMA or ACCA qualification.
  • Previous experience in month-end reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload as required.
  • Ambitious and motivated to progress career.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Ideal experience with Sage 200 or similar accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
