An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Maintenance Engineer to join our client's Market Leading Chemical Manufacturing team as an integral member.

The permanent, days-based position will involve working alongside the Engineering team, controlling the efficiency and safety of chemical production on a COMAH Site. This includes upgrading and installing new equipment as required, maintaining all current systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. To complete planned preventative maintenance regimes and inspections schedules on site plant, equipment, and buildings.
  2. Working with sites Permit to work and risk assessment systems to ensure a safe working environment.
  3. To maintain liquid transfer systems, relief devices, pumps, tanks, valves, gaskets, and additional site equipment.
  4. To assist with the design and maintenance of electrical systems to current specifications and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  5. To identify and implement continuous improvement projects to increase efficiency and productivity.

The successful candidate will hold a HNC or equivalent in an electrical or engineering discipline, with hands-on experience and a demonstrable track record of success. Experience within a manufacturing setting, ideally from a Chemical background with an awareness of COMAH, is highly desirable.

This role comes with a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, plus a strong benefits package, including gym membership, death in service, private healthcare, bike to work scheme, and company pension (plus pension advice service).

Please note that this position is a Monday-to-Friday, day shift role with overtime available.
