Cyber Security Architect Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Lead to join our team in Farnborough, UK. This is a permanent role that requires a strong background in cyber security and experience working with government clients.
As a Cyber Security Lead, you will be responsible for leading the implementation and assurance of security within a key defence project. You will possess specialist skills in all areas of protective and information security and have demonstrable experience of applying security frameworks such as Government Functional Standard 007.
You will work closely with our engineering, service, and business development teams to ensure that Leidos can establish and maintain an effective and efficient security architecture for the programme. You will also be responsible for developing high- and low-level security architecture designs for systems intended for secure/sensitive environments, with appropriate security based on detailed risk analysis.
The ideal candidate will have CISSP certification and other industry qualifications such as Risk or Public/Private Cloud certifications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas across a wide range of different audiences are essential.
The salary for this role is estimated to be around £80,000 - £110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a contributory pension scheme, private medical insurance, and access to flexible benefits.
About the RoleThis role is part of our expanding UK-based technical team who support our delivery for the UK Govt. As a Cyber Security Lead, you will be working on one of the UK's leading programmes, developing and delivering solutions that meet the customer's functional and non-functional security requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the implementation and assurance of security within the key defence project
- Developing high- and low-level security architecture designs for systems intended for secure/sensitive environments
- Working closely with our engineering, service, and business development teams to establish and maintain an effective and efficient security architecture for the programme
