Pricing and Margin Excellence Opportunity

As a Pricing Optimization Specialist, you will be instrumental in enhancing and maintaining our competitive pricing position. You will work collaboratively with a successful team to analyze large datasets, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes that maximize business profit.

This hybrid role offers the chance to enter the world of Pricing, working closely with commercial teams to resolve pricing issues and margin challenges. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will enable you to develop and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly processes and reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and resolve pricing and margin challenges across Operations, Sales, Commercial, and suppliers.
  • Maintain regular communication with branches and sales managers to understand issues/challenges and resolve them with Operational teams.
  • Investigate data quality issues arising from exception reports or direct feedback.
  • Provide analytical support to maintain and improve margin and price perception positions.
  • Capture and track key activities between Commercial and Estimating to facilitate closer working relationships between departments.

The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a hybrid-based opportunity with flexibility to work from home, but you should be within commuting distance of our offices in Crick, Northamptonshire.

Requirements:
  • Experience working with large datasets and a proven history of working on pricing/commercial projects.
  • Good level of experience using Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A methodical approach and strong attention to detail.
