About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to join our team in Cambridge. As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for managing junior team members, mentoring them, and contributing to more complex services by providing safe and buildable solutions for both temporary and permanent works.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  1. Permanent and Temporary Works design and checking, incorporating Permanent Works design if applicable.
  2. Delivery of alternative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's reputation.
  3. Tender stage and bid winning support, focusing on buildability, efficiency, and innovation.
  4. Technical assessment and review of third-party designs, ensuring compliance with the brief to meet client and Kier requirements.
