Principal Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated school leader to join our team at Fife Council. As a Principal Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting the senior leadership team in driving school improvement and ensuring positive outcomes for our children and young people.

• Implementing Literacy across learning, across the whole school
• Leading transition arrangements within the Cluster and strategically leading P7, S1 and S2 in English and Literacy
• Leading curriculum development, tracking of attainment and behaviour management
• Family learning and engagement around the development of Literacy
• Developing literacy practice and skills development with pupils and staff

You will require high levels of interpersonal skills and abilities to work as a member of the senior leadership team, leading and managing school improvement at strategic and operational levels. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to your own professional learning as a practitioner through career-long professional learning activity and show how this has impacted on your practice.

You will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. Full General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) registration is also required.
