Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at Siteimprove. As a key member of our DevOps team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing our platform infrastructure.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with software engineering teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of services. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the design and implementation of our platform infrastructure as we level up the maturity of our platform.

You will be instrumental in driving continuous improvement and modernization efforts within the team, developing a modernized platform driving a large migration of workloads from a self-managed Kubernetes cluster to EKS.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable AWS infrastructure for our SaaS platform.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and industry standards (ISO27001).
  • Deliver strategic initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with established goals.
  • Assist in the development of strategic plans for the DevOps team, aligning with the overall business objectives.
  • Respond to incidents as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years experience in a DevOps role.
  • Strong experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudFormation, and EKS.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (e.g., VPC, subnetting, routing).
  • Experience in deploying and managing Kubernetes, EKS, service mesh, and related components.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
  • Experience in tooling such as ArgoCD, Helm, and Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira for project management and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Experience in assisting in the development and delivery of strategic plans.
