Disability Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Specialist to join our team at Blaenau Gwent County Borough Council. As a Disability Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the lives of individuals with learning disabilities.
In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to provide essential support and care to individuals in need, helping them to live their lives to the fullest. Our team is committed to providing the highest level of care while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Your adaptability is essential for meeting the diverse needs of the people we support. You will be expected to work various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays, ensuring our residents' diverse needs are met effectively.
The salary for this position is approximately £24,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
About the Role- Provide person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care and medication management
- Support individuals to develop independent living skills and engage in community activities
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, residents, and their families to ensure the best possible care and support
We are looking for a qualified and experienced individual who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A registration with Social Care Wales is required for this position.
