About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IAM Software Engineer to join our team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and improvement of software solutions that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations.
  • Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
  • Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Vice President Expectations
  • Advise key stakeholders on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Collaborate with other areas of work to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategies.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in full stack development technologies such as Java, React, API & microservices, PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering principles, project exposure to Ping Identity ForgeRock products, and overall IAM engineering experience.
  • Cloud computing (AWS, Azure) experience, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform), containerization, and knowledge of authentication and biometric system design.
