Technical Programme Manager, Data Science

Job Summary
IMDb is the world's most popular and authoritative source for information on movies, TV shows, and celebrities, reaching an audience of over 250 million unique visitors per month. As a Senior Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing technical programs that drive innovation and growth in the entertainment industry. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-impact projects that meet business objectives and drive customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Own the successful delivery of large, high-impact technical programs, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
2. Drive strategic planning and execution, partnering with product managers and engineering leads to develop program plans, roadmaps, and resourcing plans.
3. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and develop technical solutions that meet business requirements and drive innovation.
4. Communicate effectively with executive management on program status, plans, and critical issues.
5. Partner with business, operational, product, and engineering teams to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
About the Team:
IMDb's Entertainment Data & Discovery (ED&D) team is responsible for the acquisition, accuracy, and availability of all IMDb data, driving IMDb experiences and making data available to hundreds of partners inside and outside Amazon. Our mission is to be the trusted steward of entertainment information, unparalleled in accuracy and relevance, fulfilling today's needs and anticipating tomorrow's demand.
Requirements:
- Experience in technical product or program management
- Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules
- Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
- Experience developing and executing product and technical roadmaps
- Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience working directly with engineering teams
- Experience in system design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management
- Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
- Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
