Curriculum Director Role for Education Innovation

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking a visionary Curriculum Director to lead its curriculum development team. With a focus on innovation and excellence, this role will be responsible for designing and implementing a curriculum that meets local and national skills priorities.
Job OverviewThe successful candidate will report directly to the Assistant Principal Curriculum and will have management responsibility for a range of curriculum departments. This includes line management responsibility for a group of Curriculum Team Leaders who will work closely with the Director to achieve the college's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and implementation of a curriculum that meets local and national skills priorities
- Motivate and inspire a team of educators to deliver high-quality education and learner experiences
- Oversee the management of curriculum departments and ensure effective collaboration between teams
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and industry partners to inform curriculum development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of leadership and management in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to think strategically and make informed decisions
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Burton and South Derbyshire College offers a competitive salary package, including a salary of £52,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, we offer a generous pension scheme, flexible working policies, and access to our on-site gym and nursery.
