At Wincanton, we are looking for an experienced Logistics Network Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our transport control centre in Beeston, Nottingham, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating our subcontracted hauliers across the world.

Your main objective will be to manage our extensive subcontractor network, focusing on finding the most cost-effective solution while maintaining Wincanton's high-level service standards.

To achieve this, you will work closely with other planning centres within the business, ensuring that Wincanton fleet utilisation is maximised. Timely reports and administration management are vital to enable the finance teams to produce accurate trading numbers.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Order Management: Manage all orders through the transport management system, ensuring they are planned onto the appropriate resource. Optimize routes to market and meet customer-specific requirements.
  2. Backhaul Volume Drive: Work with the wider network to increase backhaul volume through the fleet.
  3. Haulier Relationship Management: Collaborate with Haulier Relationship Managers to manage subcontractor performance and rates. Identify opportunities to introduce new hauliers.
  4. Reporting and Accuracy: Ensure reports and details are accurate for the finance team.
  5. Financial Awareness: Be financially aware, ensuring plans are efficient to maximise profitability.
  6. Customer Relationship Management: Manage customer relationships, ensuring good communication and addressing issues promptly. Suggest improvements and work with the Customers team to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
  1. Experience in a transport or logistics environment, particularly in haulier coordination or planning.
  2. Experience in a call centre, sales role, or office customer service environment.
  3. Previous experience with Transport Management systems is advantageous.
  4. Operationally focused, with the ability to deliver a high-quality service to customers.
  5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Highly self-organised, with the ability to plan, prioritise workload, and manage changing priorities to meet strict deadlines.
  7. Demonstrate consistently high attention to detail.
  8. Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills.
