Pastoral Officer - Hackney

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pastoral Officer to join our team at a mainstream secondary school in Hackney. As a Pastoral Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting children with mixed needs and working closely with the school's Head of Year 8 & 9 to ensure each child progresses towards their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children with additional needs in a mainstream secondary school setting
  • Work closely with the Head of Year 8 & 9 to develop and implement strategies to support pupil progress
  • Provide guidance and support to pupils with SEN, where necessary
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to pupil support
Requirements:
  • Pastoral Officer / Behaviour Mentor experience
  • Experience in PRUs or similar settings
  • Strong understanding of the requirements to support pupils with additional needs
  • Adaptability, motivation, and the ability to take initiative
