What You'll Be Doing

As an Electrical Engineer Graduate, you'll be supported by experienced engineers and have the opportunity to develop your skills in designing and specifying LV electrical installations and distribution systems. You'll also review LV electrical designs and contribute to the development of solutions for Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and/or sewerage/water systems.

Our Graduate Programme

Our three-year Graduate Programme is designed to enable you to achieve professional status with the relevant professional institutions. You'll receive mentorship, a structured training plan, and opportunities to network with your peers. You'll also have the chance to rotate in both design and build, gaining hands-on site experience and practical, on-the-job training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and specify LV electrical installations and distribution systems
  • Design and specify LV assemblies (MCC, LV Switchboards and Control Panels)
  • Review LV electrical designs produced by framework contractors (electrical schematics, cable calculations and termination diagrams)
  • Specify and select required instrumentation based on the process design
  • Contribute to development of solutions and suitable designs of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants and/or sewerage/water systems that achieve the goals of Anglian Water in terms of customer, environment, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the wider design team to develop 3D models and solutions
  • Support the team in the drive towards excellence in Health & Safety, demonstrating applied knowledge & skills to produce safe designs to discharge obligation according to CDM Regulations, standards, and accepted codes of practice
  • Proactively and reactively champion the need to deliver technical excellence ensuring the importance is understood and implemented across projects
  • Maintain close links with other Engineers, Technical Managers and Operations to ensure smooth interfaces between disciplines, manage gaps/overlaps and share best practice to optimise performance
