About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join our team as a Detail Design Engineer. As a key member of our design team, you will carry out detailed engineering design activities, working closely with cross-functional teams on various projects. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that work complies with industry standards and regulations.
Job Description:
As a Detail Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering accurate technical drawings and specifications. You will also assist in identifying and resolving any design issues that may arise during the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will support the business in preparing technical reports and documents, and participate in design reviews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create CAD models and drawings to meet required standards.
- Ensure all design deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders during design phases to ensure coordination and functionality.
- Contribute to and support the entire project and product design cycle.
- Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
- Assist with maintenance and improvement in quality standards of outputs.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices.
- Proficiency in parametric/spec driven CAD systems in 3D & 2D environments.
Experience:
- Previous experience in design processes and procedures within detail design (stage 2 modelling/stage 3 outputs) for naval or commercial marine projects.
- A strong understanding of design software and tools such as FORAN.

- An estimated salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, based on location and experience.
