Position Overview

The SAP Systems Specialist plays a crucial role in overseeing the execution of information systems projects related to customer service functions. This position involves providing strategic advice to senior management across IT and other departments regarding systems development and support.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Project Management: Engage in and occasionally lead approved projects aimed at enhancing systems, either independently or as part of a larger initiative overseen by a Project Manager or Solutions Architect. Regularly report progress, identify potential issues, and analyze costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Collaboration with Functional Areas: Possess in-depth expertise in Sales and Distribution processes, including a comprehensive understanding of core SAP SD processes. Communicate effectively with both business and technical teams at all levels.
  3. System Configuration and Testing: Assess existing systems to determine requirements, design and modify business processes in line with departmental standards, and configure systems accordingly. Conduct thorough testing and assist user departments with training and data conversion for new processes.
  4. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures both before and after system implementations, ensuring compliance with company governance and internal controls.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and contribute to the development of departmental policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one complete SAP implementation cycle experience as a configurator/business analyst.
  • At least three years of experience in the development, configuration, and implementation of SAP SD and MM.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP SD module, including Sales Order Processing, Sales Contracts, Billing & Invoicing, and EDI.
  • Familiarity with SAP EWM is a plus.
  • Broad understanding of business processes in FMCG manufacturing and trading operations.
