About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Service Technician to join our team at Hunt Forest Group Ltd. As a key member of our agricultural department, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a variety of agricultural and turf machinery from multiple manufacturers, primarily John Deere.

Your primary duties will include diagnosing and providing accurate information to enable machinery repair quotes, completing all required paperwork for work assignments, and performing diagnostics and repairs in the field when required.

You will also be responsible for performing pre-delivery setup on new or used equipment, maintaining a clean work station, and assisting with overall workshop organisation and correct use of tools and vehicles.

In addition, you will participate in Service Training Certification programs required for the development of skills and knowledge, and follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and repair agricultural/turf machinery from multiple manufacturers, primarily John Deere.
  • Diagnose and provide accurate information to enable machinery repair quotes.
  • Complete all required paperwork for work assignments.
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs in the field when required.
  • Perform pre-delivery setup on new or used equipment.
  • Maintain a clean work station and assist with overall workshop organisation and correct use of tools and vehicles.
  • Participate in Service Training Certification programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high level of mechanical competence within an engineering field, proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to enable the repair of agricultural equipment, and experience of maintaining and repairing equipment.

You will also need to be able to work as part of a team and independently from own initiative, have good timekeeping, and be able to explain mechanical problems in simple terms.

Additionally, you will need to have your own tools, be computer literate, and have familiarity with John Deere or competitive products, or experience within the commercial, automotive, or construction machinery sectors.

A full UK driving license is also required.
