About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at a leading FMCG manufacturer. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on plant machinery and equipment
  • Deal with breakdowns and faults in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to minimize downtime and optimize production
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubrication
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a maintenance or engineering role
  • Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher
  • Nationally recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
  • 17th or 18th Edition Certification
Desirable Skills
  • Proven experience of working in a food industry environment
  • Experience of working in a bakery environment
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical drawings and manuals
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in a warm environment with varying temperatures
  • Physical fitness required for manual handling and working at height
  • Ability to work 12-hour shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends
