The Role

As a Lead Hydraulic Modeller for Water Infrastructure Projects, you will be responsible for leading storm overflows discharge reduction plans, flood alleviation, and environmental solution development projects. You will also lead model build, maintenance, and verification projects, as well as develop and deliver wastewater catchment strategies and solutions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plan, flood alleviation and environmental solution development projects.
  • Leading model build, model maintenance, and verification projects.
  • Leading the development and delivery of wastewater catchment strategies and solutions.
  • Responsible for the quality of outputs and compliance with standards & specifications.
  • Driving continuous improvement in project delivery.
  • Ability to manage and/or support project managers to manage, projects and programmes of works.
  • Support in the development of tender responses and fee estimates.
  • Supervising and developing staff and providing guidance to support their professional development.
  • Contributing towards technical innovation and leading improvement workgroups.

Requirements

  • Understanding of UK Water Industry and regulatory issues.
  • Proven track record in coordinating and delivering technically excellent projects.
  • Expertise using InfoWorks ICM and ICM Exchange.
  • Expertise in hydraulic modelling, catchment planning and solution development.
  • Ability to review work of others to provide quality assurance and drive continuous improvement in work delivered to the client.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Expertise in MS 365 applications, and knowledge in areas such as PowerBI and SharePoint.
  • Experience working with software such as FME, Optimatics, Ruby (or similar) would be advantageous.
  • Relevant degree or vocational qualification.
  • Chartered with a relevant professional institution (i.e. ICE or CIWEM) would be advantageous.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to this, we provide a range of benefits including 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and options to buy/sell additional leave.
