We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lettings Negotiator to join our team at AMR - Specialist Property Recruiters. As a key member of our lettings team, you will be responsible for achieving move-in targets, ensuring compliance with legal documentation, and building the brand in the local marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:- Work with the lettings team to achieve move-in targets and ensure compliance with legal documentation.
- Deal with telephone and face-to-face enquiries, providing high levels of customer service at all times.
- Pre-qualify applicants and arrange viewings.
- Carry out viewings and obtain feedback.
- Support the lettings team with administrative duties, including issuing terms of business to landlords and carrying out checks to comply with legislation.
- Negotiate new tenancies with landlords and tenants.
- Process tenant references and right-to-rent checks.
- Prepare tenancy agreements and issue legal documents relating to the tenancy.
- Work with the property management team to ensure properties are prepared for move-in.
- Book and arrange inventories.
- Ensure a smooth handover of keys and a positive experience for tenants during the application process.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current lettings legislation and landlord/tenant laws is desired but not essential.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail, especially when dealing with contracts.
- Confidence in dealing with a variety of people, both face-to-face and over the phone.
- Able to work as part of a team and alone.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Articulate, professional, and well-accustomed to a client-facing role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and good keyboard skills.
- ARLA qualified or willing to work towards an ARLA qualification.
- Experience of working in a fast-paced, busy environment.
- A positive and adaptive attitude to help the team achieve their goals.
- Pro-active and a desire to achieve results.
- Full driving license required.
- Salary: £23,000 - £25,000 DOE, OTE - £25,000 per annum (commission).
