Senior Engineer Fire Safety Job Description

Hall&Kay Fire Engineering is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer - Fire Safety to lead the delivery of main contract fire sprinkler projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget and customer requirements.

About the Job:
  • The Senior Engineer - Fire Safety will be responsible for leading and participating in initiation/handover meetings with stakeholders from Sales, Design, QS teams to ensure project success.
  • They will maintain project programme and coordinate with internal teams for Cost To Complete (CTC) reviews to identify potential issues early on.
  • Additionally, they will manage end-of-project documentation, including O&M manuals, As-Fitted Drawings, and Certifications to meet industry standards.
  • The Senior Engineer - Fire Safety will also oversee on-site resources, resolving issues and maintaining the project schedule to minimize delays.
  • They will develop and submit project Quality Plans as required to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Furthermore, they will participate in audits with internal and external parties to identify areas for improvement.
  • The Senior Engineer - Fire Safety will be responsible for identifying, recording, and resolving supplier-generated non-conformities to maintain project quality.
  • They will also manage material and labor costs, invoice variations, and final accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Job Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the construction or manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing projects within budget and timeframe.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a proactive approach.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Estimated Salary Range:

£90,000 - £130,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
