Planning Consultant

We are looking for a talented Planning Consultant to join our Penguin Recruitment team in Chester and Manchester offices.
The ideal candidate will have experience in planning consultancy and possess excellent communication skills. We offer a highly competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, opportunities for career growth, annual bonuses, pension contributions, private healthcare, and payment of professional fees in a flexible working environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Support senior planners on large-scale projects
- Manage smaller planning applications independently
- Conduct research and analysis to inform project decisions
- Prepare comprehensive planning appraisals of land and building proposals
- Write planning reports and draft applications
- Engage with planning officers, consultants, and third parties
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, and industry professionals
- Develop innovative solutions and strategies for projects
- Manage smaller projects from inception to completion
- Stay up-to-date with planning policies and regulations
You will also need an RTPI-accredited degree or master's in Planning or a related field, and Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards it.
