About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Mansell Recruitment Group as a Field Service Engineer Installation/Service Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support and technical expertise in the installation and service of electrical and electronic engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Customer Support: Provide timely and effective support to customers through logical and calm communication, resolving issues and problems in a professional manner.
  2. Remote Fault Finding: Utilize advanced remote monitoring tools to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  3. Electrical and Mechanical Fault Diagnosis: Conduct thorough analysis of electrical and mechanical systems, identifying and resolving faults using logical approaches and technical expertise.
  4. Spare Parts Administration: Manage spare parts inventory, produce quotations, and convert quotes into orders, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  5. Service Visit Planning: Plan and coordinate service visits, booking travel arrangements, hotels, and liaising with customers to agree on time and dates.
  6. Technical Briefings: Provide technical briefings to service technicians prior to scheduled work, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary information to complete tasks efficiently.
  7. Commissioning and Release: Collect commissioning information and release codes, updating the database accordingly, and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  8. International Travel: Visit customer sites in the UK and overseas, sometimes at short notice, to provide technical support and resolve issues.
Requirements
  1. Electrical or Electronic Engineering Qualifications: Hold relevant qualifications, such as City & Guilds Level 1-3 or HNC/HND, or NVQ Level 2 or above.
  2. Field Service Experience: Possess previous experience in field service work, with a strong understanding of electrical fault finding and customer service communication skills.
  3. Language Skills: Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable, with other foreign languages also considered.
  4. Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, with basic level skills as a minimum.
  5. Manual Driving Licence: Hold a current manual driving licence.
What We Offer

Mansell Recruitment Group offers a competitive remuneration package, including:

  • Salary: £42,000 - £44,000 per annum.
  • Minimum Hours: 08:45 - 17:15, Monday to Friday.
  • Pension: 5% pension contribution upon joining.

  • Out-of-Pocket Expenses: Reimbursed out-of-pocket expenses.
