Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Norfolk & Suffolk Foundation NHS Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality psychological services to children and young people with learning disabilities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialist assessments and therapeutic interventions with children, young people, and their families.
  • Encourage and support the wider team members to provide psychologically based care, with a strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary team working, risk assessment, care planning, and safeguarding.
  • Provide consultation and training to the team and external agencies.
  • Supervise assistant and trainee clinical psychologists.
Requirements:
  • Post-graduate degree in clinical psychology, accredited by BPS.
  • Registered as a practitioner psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Supervisor training, to be a supervisor of doctoral programme clinical psychology trainees or willing to undertake training.
Desirable:
  • Evidence of CPD in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice.
Experience:
  • Experience working as a qualified clinical psychologist (Band 7) and able to evidence appropriate knowledge and experience in practice to enable the post holder to clinically supervise trainee clinical psychologist.
  • Experience of working with a wide variety and severity of client groups & clinical problems, in various settings, including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems.
Other:
  • Ability to travel independently.
