Job Overview

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is seeking an experienced Accredited Cognitive Behaviour Therapist with a core profession to join our team at a very exciting time as we review and work to improve all aspects of our service delivery.

We offer a comprehensive service to children, young people, and families, providing an extensive offer to our local community, including significant early intervention and prevention services, unscheduled care, an Early Years service, and a broad range of NICE recommended and other evidence-based interventions.

We are a dynamic and committed multidisciplinary team of Clinical Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Child Psychotherapists, Family Therapists, Child Looked After and CAMHS Practitioners with a range of core professional backgrounds and Assistant Psychologists.

Our team is dedicated to supporting continuing professional development, and we have recently supported and funded clinicians to attend training in a range of interventions relevant to their role, including Solution Focussed training, Motivational Interviewing, VIG, IPT-A, CBT, CBT-TF, EMDR, and DBT.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will have a significant role in undertaking assessments and providing evidence-based interventions to children, young people, and families.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking assessments and providing evidence-based interventions to children, young people, and families
  • Being a key member of our team with involvement in multidisciplinary meetings, offering consultation and training
  • Care Co-ordinating and providing supervision to colleagues
  • Developing and maintaining clinical skills within the wider team and service development

We have excellent links with our partner service in Flintshire and Wrexham CAMHS and involvement in initiatives across the area will also form part of this role.
