Salary: The salary for this role is estimated at £35,000-£37,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description
The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the completion of work, including quality and timely delivery. This role requires support in all maintenance tasks and projects, such as day-to-day breakdowns, PPM activities, equipment updates, new installations, and building/infrastructure upgrades.
This position involves shift work across Monday to Saturday, with a shift rotation across three shifts (Days, Afternoons, Evenings).
Key Responsibilities
- To ensure all PPM activities are completed on time, providing feedback to improve the PPM system and activities.
- To work closely with the opposite shift engineer to ensure smooth handovers of ongoing activities, sharing information and best practices.
- To provide knowledge and input into continuous improvement of plant, machinery, and maintenance activities, working with the Engineering Manager to identify long-running problems and suitable solutions.
- To ensure equipment performance, reliability, and running costs are optimized, recommending improvements to the Engineering Team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written), Electrical Installation 18th Edition certification, and skills in both Electrical and Mechanical trades. A recognised qualification relevant to the role, such as mechanical or electrical C&G, is essential. Experience in Electronic fault finding to component level and pneumatics, hydraulics, steam systems would be beneficial.
