About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Structural Engineer to join our UK Healthcare Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the growth of our UK Healthcare Team, working on projects in London and South East England, with opportunities to support healthcare projects throughout the UK and globally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team of Structural Engineers, frequently working with colleagues from other engineering disciplines, e.g. MEP, civils and geo-tech
  • Raise the profile and reputation of the UK Healthcare Team
  • Develop and oversee structural engineering concepts and design philosophies
  • Carry out structural design, analysis and FEM modelling
  • Liaise with clients and collaborators, representing Ramboll at project meetings
  • Communicate designs to team members and construction sites
  • Complete detailed designs to required standards and supervise work of graduate engineers and apprentices
  • Complete design calculations using industry standard software, such as Revit
  • Implement best practice procedures to enhance and maintain delivery of sustainable, zero carbon, innovative and quality advisory and design services
  • Visit sites to support development of structural engineering designs or review contract works in progress
  • Take an active role in technical groups and team meetings to support continuous improvement
  • Take ownership and deliver on team improvement initiative
  • If applicable, join Ramboll's ICE or IStructE training scheme and make demonstratable progress towards chartership (if not already chartered)
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Design Structural Engineer who has a strong background in the UK Healthcare sector. You will have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and be able to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
