We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager to join our team at JAM Recruitment Ltd in Prestwick, South Ayrshire. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a leading role in interfacing with our customers, understanding their requirements, and keeping them involved during product development.

This is a hybrid-working role of 3 days per week required on site, and you MUST be eligible for security clearance (SC) to be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will:

  1. Manage a team of engineers and senior stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across the business.
  2. Work closely with other Engineering Leads through the integration life-cycle, proposing, developing, and delivering engineering products and solutions that meet expected standards and customer needs.
  3. Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address engineering challenges, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve engineering processes and methodologies.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A degree in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Life-Cycle.
  2. Evidence-based experience in an engineering integration environment, preferably in the Aerospace, Automotive, Rail, or Nuclear Industries.
  3. Experience of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets, including Teamcenter PLM, DOORs, CAMEO, MATLAB, and ANSYS.
  4. Evidence-based experience of management responsibilities, managing teams and senior stakeholders.
  5. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  6. Good communication skills across all levels of an organisation.
  7. A self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a team.
Desirable Skills:

Accreditation to the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) or equivalent body/institute is desirable but not essential.

The salary for this role is £54,793 to £62,497, plus an excellent benefits package.
