About the Role

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be working with a leading Engineering Consultancy on the hire of an Urban Planning Specialist to join their exciting multidisciplinary team in Newcastle.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a variety of medium and large-scale infrastructure, education, sport and leisure, housing and commercial developments, with the chance for career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of planning commissions from start to finish, including liaison with clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare EIA Chapters for major highway schemes and manage internal and external sub-consultants.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects.

Requirements:

  • Planning experience, either completed as a year in industry or post qualification.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience of working within a multidisciplinary team and a desire to grow and take on responsibility.
