About the Role
University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Paediatric Staff Nurse to join our team at Southampton Children's Hospital. As a Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to children and young people, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualised care to children and young people, taking into account their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
- Participate in handovers, report, and discuss patient care with the team, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised care plans, working closely with families and carers to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures.
