Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Facilities Services Director to lead our facilities management team at our Build to Rent development in London. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our facilities management strategy, ensuring the smooth operation of the property, and maintaining high standards of maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities management strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of facilities managers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver excellent service.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee and manage relationships with third-party contractors, ensuring high-quality service delivery and compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Manage and monitor the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective services without compromising on quality.
  • Tenant Satisfaction: Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing any concerns related to the building's facilities and ensuring a high level of tenant satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on site operations, financial performance, and any issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in facilities management, ideally in a Build to Rent or residential property environment.
  • Building Safety Act knowledge.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and building compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with tenants, contractors, and senior management.
