About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled MET Technician to join our team at Steer Automotive Group. As an MET Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' vehicles are repaired to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including electric and hybrid vehicles.
- Dismantling vehicles for repair and reassembling them to pre-accident condition.
- Performing inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work.
- Ordering replacement parts as required and ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborating with the team to ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and complies with safety regulations.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Extensive MET experience, ideally from an accident repair background, working on a variety of vehicle types including electric and hybrid.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work safely and efficiently under pressure.
- The ability to manage your workload to ensure vehicles are completed on time and to the highest standards.
- Excellent communication skills, working well both as part of a team and independently.
- Flexibility and a commitment to delivering high-quality work with customer satisfaction in mind.
- ATA/NVQ qualifications in automotive repair, with experience in electric and hybrid vehicle repair (support for renewing qualifications will be provided).
- A commitment to following Health & Safety guidelines, ensuring a clean and safe work environment.
