Main Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical and CNC Engineer Apprentice to join our regional team in a field-based role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for repairing, servicing, and installing a wide range of industrial and commercial doors, gates, barriers, and loading bay equipment on our clients' properties.

Key Tasks
  1. Conduct weekly vehicle inspections to ensure our fleet is in good working condition.
  2. Repair, service, and install our product offerings to meet our clients' needs.
  3. Complete job-related forms accurately and efficiently.
  4. Perform dynamic risk assessments to identify potential hazards on customer sites.
  5. Develop and implement Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS) to ensure a safe working environment.
  6. Adhere to our Quality Management Systems (QMS) to maintain high standards of workmanship.
  7. Support our depot and regional teams to achieve our business objectives.
  8. Participate in out-of-hours rota to ensure our clients receive timely support.
  9. Attend health and safety meetings to stay informed about industry best practices.
  10. Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities to grow our business.
  11. Communicate effectively with our internal team to ensure seamless project execution.
  12. Conduct customer surveys to gather feedback and improve our services.
  13. Complete timesheets accurately and on time.
  14. Mentor trainee engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
  15. Identify and report hazards on customer sites to ensure a safe working environment.
  16. Manage van stock levels to ensure we have the necessary materials and equipment to complete jobs efficiently.
  17. Obtain quotes for materials, goods, and equipment to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  18. Participate in project walkthroughs with surveyors to ensure accurate job planning.
