We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Singing for the Brain Support Volunteer. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in providing support and encouragement to people with dementia, helping them to feel at ease and participate in our structured group sessions.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage with people with dementia, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Provide encouragement and support to participants, helping them to feel confident and motivated.
- Work collaboratively with the session facilitator to deliver a high-quality experience for all participants.
- Support the facilitator with online or in-person sessions, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
Requirements
- Ability to listen and display compassion, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Fun and enthusiastic approach, with a passion for making a difference in the lives of people with dementia.
- Ability to navigate online platforms and use Zoom with confidence (for virtual sessions).
- Minimum age 16.
