Are you an experienced CNC Milling Machinist looking for a new challenge?

We are currently supporting a leading aerospace client in their search for a skilled CNC Milling Machinist to work on a night shift basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at our client's Wolverhampton facility and contribute to the design and production of complex and bespoke mechanical products for the aerospace industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating CNC 5 Axis Milling Machines, working to exceptionally close tolerances that are critical to the aerospace sector.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around £48,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Set and run multiple CNC machines and processes, ensuring high precision and quality.
  2. Operate CNC 5 Axis Milling Work Centres, ensuring they meet all required specifications.
  3. Proven experience with Matsuura and DMG machines is preferred.
  4. Perform first-off inspections and complete necessary quality documentation.
  5. Work closely with engineering teams to address any machining challenges and improve processes.
  6. Ensure that all parts meet customer requirements and aerospace industry standards.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
  1. A recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training.
  2. Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing role, ideally within the aerospace industry.
  3. Solid understanding of machining techniques and appropriate tooling for complex components.
  4. Proven skills in multi-axis/complex machining environments.
  5. Proficiency in using relevant inspection techniques and equipment to meet drawing tolerances.
