About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Foundation/SEN Lecturer to join our team at Surrey's largest SEN centre. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality teaching and supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to develop vital life skills and prepare for adulthood.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in entry-level subjects, including Skills for Life, Preparation for Adulthood, Cookery, and Hairdressing, to meet the diverse needs of SEN learners.
  • Utilize our state-of-the-art facilities to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment that fosters independence and confidence.
  • Collaborate closely with support staff, families, and external agencies to provide holistic care and guidance, ensuring that all students receive the appropriate support.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, setting clear goals and providing ongoing feedback to help students reach their potential.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience as a Foundation/SEN Lecturer, with a proven track record of working with young people who have additional needs.
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of entry-level topics, including life skills and vocational areas such as cookery and hairdressing.
  • A deep passion for supporting SEN learners, empowering them to achieve their goals and succeed in life.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
  • A recognised teaching qualification and experience in SEN or foundation learning in further education settings.
