About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Driver/Labourer to join our team at Torrent Trackside, a leading specialist supplier of rail infrastructure portable plant and related trackside services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting rail plant to and from customers, ensuring timely and safe transportation of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering and collecting rail plant to and from customers
  • Checking equipment for damages and logging as needed
  • Using mobile PDA devices for deliveries, scanning asset tags
  • Labouring and yard duties, including tidying the plant up and getting vans loaded
  • Night and weekend work may include setting up lighting equipment and operating machines on track

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Good level of physical fitness due to the nature of the work and plant involved
  • Able to pass the Network Rail standard medical prior to employment (we will arrange this)
  • Confident using mobile devices (e.g. PDA, tablet)
  • Excellent customer service
  • Flexibility with working pattern and shifts
  • Experience with rail or small plant is preferred, but training can be given
