Electrical and Instrumentation Quality Control Inspector

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Quality Control Inspector to join our team on a permanent basis in the Bridgwater area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections according to the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP) to ensure compliance with ECS Code, drawings, vendor specifications, and code requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients' representatives to conduct day-to-day inspections during construction activities.
  • Verify that equipment installation meets quality standards, including alignment, materials, and code requirements.
  • Support the QC Manager and Area Leads in executing their duties.
  • Maintain accurate Lifetime Quality Records (LTQRs) during inspections, ensuring all required signatures are obtained.
  • Update the SONIM register as needed.
  • Promote Foreign Material Exclusion to prevent the ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items, or debris in equipment and systems during assembly and testing.
  • Monitor and report compliance with quality standards and procedures for all installation, calibration, and testing processes within the electrical and instrumentation scope.
  • Recommend methods to improve overall quality and assist in analyzing quality concerns.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to achieve quality standards.
Requirements
  • Hold qualifications in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation, such as ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
  • Have experience in Quality Control during the installation, inspection, and testing of electrical and instrument systems associated with process plants during construction and operation.
  • Be familiar with the ATEX directive and have attended a relevant ATEX competency course.
  • Hold a valid CSCS Card.
